NEW FOR 2022, CIRCLE OF LIFE, a space for all people to meet and share...
Ok, so, we live in a world of duality, no question. This past year has seen much polarisation, so for 2022, I am introducing what I refer to as CIRCLE OF LIFE. The men's circles are unquestionably potent and transformational, supportive and safe containers for exploration of masculinity, but I feel to add a circle that is open to all genders and peoples. So, CIRCLE OF LIFE is the next stage, open to men and women, and those who identify with either or neither. Inclusion. The aim and intention is to provide support for this life, in service of life and love and learning to relate in healthy ways. This will be a bi-monthly or monthly meeting space on the ZOOM platform, most probably beginning at the end of Springtime, around April. There are no pre-requisites, only that you are human and wish to become more so. Welcome. A CIRCLE OF MEN has proven to be a potent, self-organising initiative and vehicle for growth.
Currently we have 2 groups of men in regular circle meetings. Our intention is to provide a safe meeting place in which we can provide support for each other and our exploration of authentic and purposeful masculinity. One of the first keys is dropping the competition and embracing brotherhood, then helping each other by revealing our vulnerability and learning deep listening and reflection skills.
The primary motivation behind the offering is simple, I appreciate this contact and exploration in my life, and enjoy sharing this stage and space in my life with other men, to learn and to grow. I have seen so far that regardless of geographical location, specific upbringing, there are universal principles and keys that link us via our shared experience of being born a man in this world.
And, it's not simple to be a man in this world, with so much confusion on the part of both primary genders of how and who we are to be, to exist, to co-exist in a harmonious way - especially with so much wounding held on all sides, bizarre cultural conditioning, and a general lack of integral role models and / or initiatory practices. Yes, we all have a masculine and a feminine side and there is much to learn from each other. It is my hope and prayer that we learn to be more available with and to ourselves, each other, and with those who we live alongside.
A CIRCLE OF MEN is an open invitation to any man to join the sacred circle, to check in, to share space and presence with other brothers.
For more information, and to apply to join the next intake of this online men's group, please write using the contact form. We will be addressing the next intake in WINTER 2021 ( Northern Hemisphere ).
The next group will be offered as a monthly meeting, with emphasis on exploration of masculine roles, archetypes and stages of life combined with loving kindness and no small amount of forgiveness and gratitude thrown into the mix. There will be homework, and fortnightly check-in's available to support the process of empowerment and to assist in holding the space for any healing process that may be taking place. This new group signifies an expansion and a development of the space, and all men are encouraged to fully step into this in a committed way with the intention of making empowering steps within their lives and addressing some core misunderstandings along the way.
The first principle requires a solid foundation of integrity, so I wish to be clear from the outset and formation of the group that we intend to collaboratively create a place of CONFIDENTIAL and NON-JUDGEMENTAL SUPPORT, NOT THERAPY. I know we can offer this to each other if we remember that the most important thing we can give is our presence, brotherhood, and respect.
